We are beginning the selection process for our next Skillbridge Penetration Tester internship position. Interested candidates who have at least three months of Skillbridge availability are eligible to apply for the internship. Note that the internship position is eligible for up to six months of placement, where permitted by DoD and Skillbridge guidelines.
Per our Skillbridge Job Description, the candidate must meet the following requirements:
- Enjoys problem solving, learning, and researching in technically challenging environments.
- Understands basic security tenants, including the CIA triad, access controls, and least privilege
- Understands how to provision, update, and maintain operating systems such as Kali Linux and Windows
- Possesses experience using Linux and Windows command line interfaces
- Has a basic understanding and experience with Python, Bash, and PowerShell
- Possesses strong communication skills
- Experienced in providing clear and concise technical guidance in reports and documents
In addition to the above requirements, TCMS prefers that the candidate possess the following:
- Line experience conducting hands-on cybersecurity operations in their associated branch within the last 24 months
- Possesses cybersecurity and penetration testing certifications such as the PJPT, PNPT, OSCP, eWPTX, ePTX, penetration testing-aligned GIAC certifications, Pentest+, Security+
The application period for the October 1st internship will be open from July 17th, 2023, through August 15th, 2023. Please note that TCM Security is an approved Skillbridge partner. TCM Security provides its own training and performance requirements, and cannot accommodate the requirements of other third-party Skillbridge partners. Applying for the internship acknowledges that the applicant cannot utilize another Skillbridge partner to facilitate the internship position at TCM Security.
The applicant acknowledge that TCM Security cannot provide an intent-to-hire, however TCM Security will use existing networks to place the intern, where able. Those selected for internship at TCM Security will receive free training from the TCM Academy, access to the Professional Career Ready Professional course, and certification exam attempts if desired.
