Explanation Of Royalties:
TCM Academy is run on a subscription-based model starting at $29.99 per month. This subscription allows students access to every course on the TCM Academy platform on a monthly basis. We allocate 20% of the profits and royalties are then shared between creators based on watch time.
For Example:
If TCM Security earns $100.00
$20.00 will go into the creator pool.
If a creator has 50% watch time among all creators, they would get $10.00.
In return, we handle all platform/hosting fees, advertising, coupons, etc. Additionally, we aren’t requesting that course content be exclusive. So if you want it on Udemy (or wherever), you can.
Pricing/Costs
At this time, a standard TCM Academy All-Access Membership is $29.99 per month. We are charged the standard 2.9% + .30 for US transactions and 3.9% + .30 for foreign transactions. Additionally, we receive a 2% charge on profits for accounting/taxes.
So, if you sell a subscription to a student in the US via our advertising at $29.99. It would cost $1.23 in credit card fees ((29.99 * 2.9%) + .30) and $.58 in accounting fees (($29.99 – $1.23) * 2%)), leaving $28.18 as the profit. 20%(roughly $5.64) of that total would then get allocated to the revenue pool.
If you sold a subscription via your affiliate link, you would keep 25% of the revenue($7.50) and would continue to earn that revenue for as long as that subscription remains active. Additionally, you will still receive standard royalties based on monthly watch time.
